- 2. Notification
- If this instruction is changed or there are some notifications to the competitors, they will be posted on the official board until 20 minutes before the race starts.
- 3. Responsibility
- The race committee and volunteer staff have no responsibility to the damage on the persons or things. Each competitor must decide to go out, join or continue the races by themselves and is responsible for the safety on the water.
- 4. The race area and course diagram
- The race area and course diagram are posted on the official board until 30 minutes before the race starts. The course is designed so that the top finisher makes a round between 15 and 30 minutes.

- 8.1 Wind Speed
- Wind speed is measured on the average 1 minute before the start in the starting area by the race committee.
- 8.2 Prohibited Action
- The competitors must not speed down or stop the boat intentionally after the signal meaning ‘1 minute before start’. However such cases are excluded as accidental sinking or avoiding a sunken boats.
- 8.3 Disappearing the starting line

- 9. Finishing Line
- The finishing line is described in the course diagram.
- 10. Time Limit

Hydrofoil 10 minutes after the top boat finishes. TT:R 3 minutes after the top boat finishes. - 11. Scoring and Ranking
- Scoring and ranking are based on the appendixes of World Sailing Racing Rules of Sailing.
- 12. Identification
- The competitors must wear the bib with the individual number posted on the official board when they join the races. If a competitor join a race without the bib or the number is not seen clearly, the race will be scored as ‘DSQ’.
- 13. Protest
- The competitor who will protest against an incident occurred in the race area must tell the race committee about it either afloat or ashore. The protest committee has the right to decide to accept it. If the incident is involved with multiple boats, the protestor must tell all the opponents immediately.
- 14. Number of the races and cut races
- The maximum number of the races in this competition is 12. The number to cut is decided depending on the number of the finished races as below.

- The launching area is described on the official board.
- 16. Departure and Return Declaration
- The competitor must write the time of departure before going out to the water and the time of return after coming back to the shore. A competitor who has not written will be disqualified.
- 17. Competitors’ Responsibilities

- They must wear life jackets and helmets between the races.
- They must wear kite leashes and use control bars on which kite leashes function safely.
- They must not use board leashes.
- They must declare their equipments (kites, boards and wing sets) to use between the races. If a competitor join a race with an equipment not declared, the race will be scored as ‘DSQ’. They must obey the race committee’s instruction in the case of equipments’ damage. The maximum numbers are limited as listed below.
